FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for some financial activities of SE,
the Finance Controller will:
-Lead and direct financial areas, including accounting, control and treasury functions, business planning and financing, budget preparation.
-Implement strengthened financial policies, procedures and systems. This includes reviewing, modifying and amending, as necessary, policies and procedures to keep pace with the company’s operations.
-The Finance Controller’s objective is to develop appropriate measurements of the company’s performance, work with managers to achieve the results, and communicate these results to senior management.
-Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other managers to provide assistance with the identification and development of creative solutions to a full range of business opportunities and/or problems.
-Establish and maintain standard cost systems, product calculation, cost analysis and finance analysis.
-Plan and direct short-term and long-term financial forecasting as an integral part of the business planning process.
-Evaluate and recommend changes in the company’s cost center, as appropriate.
-Use and further develop SE’s MIS.
The Candidate
Education/Certifications
An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting is desired.
Professional Qualifications
The individual should have significant accounting, controls and financial management experience. The individual should be a high-energy, results-oriented person with proven success in building and participating in teams. Min 5 years working experience in finance as controller.
Personal Characteristics
-Excellent business and analytical skills with a high degree of intelligence and creativity. Significant experience as a financial controller with a comprehensive knowledge of accounting, internal financial controls and financial tools.
-Strong manufacturing experience.
-Proven interpersonal skills with a collegial, team-oriented style. An assertive individual with the capability to lead.
-Ideally, financial management experience gained in manufacturing -Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
