Job description:
1, This position is for a Hardware Engineer to support debug and root cause of hardware related field issues of Motorola WiMAX CPE.
Requirement:
1, BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of education
2, 5+ years in an engineering or communications technology field
3, Position will entail working with 802.16e technology. Experience with wireless communication systems (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, CDMA, etc.) and OFDM/OFDMA systems also strongly desired.
4, Strong knowledge, both hands-on and device expertise of receiver and transmitter operation, RF chipsets, RF devices (PA, LNA, RF switch, antennas), digital devices and operation (EEPROM, processors, memory devices, oscillators, VoIP devices) and test equipment (signal generators, analyzers, power meters, logic analyzers, etc.) are strongly desired.
5, Mechanical design and assembly of consumer devices experience desired.
6, Strong, innovative, accomplished, and experienced technologist with excellent communication skills and with a demonstrated track record of success.
7, Must have ability to work with 3rd party vendors, ODM partners, customers, as well as other internal Motorola (both design and local account) teams.
8, Must be willing to travel as needed to support customers throughout the world.
9, Experience with MIMO, Beam Forming, OFDM/OFDMA, SDR (Software Defined Radio), preferably of consumer based devices, would be a plus.
10, Ability to work independently.
11, Self-motivated, self study on different technologies/tools
12, Good communication skills in Chinese and English.
13, Good team player
