The key activities of the position are as follows:
1) Read and understand engineering drawings and implement any changes to the assembly process with consideration for safety, quality, cost and production throughput.
2) Manage the production team leaders to ensure quality, cost and volume requirements are achieved
3) Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, by utilising knowledge of product design, materials, parts, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards
4) Analyse processes, cycle timing work studies, balance tasks to meet volume requirement
5) Calculate production times, staff requirements and related costs to procure information for management decisions
6) Communicate effectively with management, engineering and other staff both in China and Europe regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate and improve production processes
Participate and implement Lean initiatives and any other improvements within the area
7) Maintenance and repair planning of machinery and equipment
8) Responsible for complete handling of materials, semi-finished products and finished products at the factory
9) Assures compliance with principles of occupational health and safety and fire protection
10)Provides for stock management and disposal of redundant stock
11)Strong IT skills both in software and hardware are preferable
12) A solid background in manufacturing principles, particularly assembly of complex mechanical products is desirable
13) Rtravel to Europe for training.
Qualification required:
1) Level of education required: University degree or diploma
2) Field of proficiency: Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering
3) Professional experience required: 3 years
4) Good English language ability, both written and spoken
